EIRI x MALÉhRY

We love dressing women who forge their own paths, do what fulfills them, and whose work is a natural expression of their lives and personalities. Actresses Barbora Seidlová and Nikola Zbytovská are exactly those kinds of women. They are dedicated to original readings, hosting, theatre—and even publishing books. Not only do they perform their plays, but they often write and direct them as well.
Their theatre company Maléhry is unique in offering audiences an authentic experience based on real emotions, personal stories, and a living connection with the public. Their work dances between humor, irony, and gentle melancholy.
We’ve known each other for a long time, and our worlds often intertwine—not only because they wear our clothes. They wear them both on stage and in everyday life. Bára and Niky love black, just like we do, but don’t always feel comfortable wearing it. It’s partly for them that we always offer lighter alternatives—pieces in which they can feel more like themselves. For our summer gathering, we spontaneously made use of the space between the installations at Mánes Gallery—a place that remains empty and quiet for only a short time. That fleeting atmosphere gave us the freedom to create a moment without interference or stage design.

Bára and Niky wore, among other pieces, a set made from Hyogo Japanese denim, the long Nahoře i dole overalls, and our newest versatile piece—the Dlouhý tvar top.
